Manual Transmission

I have a friend who just moved back to the UK, and he is going to find me a manual transmission for my catera, what else do I need, what computers and such, also what is completly invoved in attempting this, as far as i know I will need the Clutch pedal, resivoir, clutch lines and linkage, transmission, and what ever computer I need (this I really don't know) Please help, if anyone has opel info on this it would really help. thanks

You might look into the drive shaft as one might be longer,
cross member with trans mount,
cam shafts(most manuals have a different profile),
intake manifold(sometimes a man uses a slightly different runner length)
and any and all the electronic brains that control the whole mess.

The best way would be to get the whole front clip from an Omega. That way you would have it all and could compare the two vehicles(not to mention all the spare parts)

I believe that the Opel Getrag 5-speed is the same transmission that is available in the CTS with the 3.2L motor (same engine as in our car but 3.2L instead of 3.0L)

Sourcing the CTS transmission would be much cheaper.

How hard would it be to swap a CTS 3.2 and a manual into a Catera.
