    Trunk-mounted CD changer info?

So afaik, some Cateras were equipped with a trunk-mounted CD changer. I assume there must be some wires that run from the CD changer in the trunk to the radio up front and carry the audio signal. So I was thinking, I could probably splice into these wires and install myself a nice 3.5mm jack. No more tape player crap. Anyone done this before? And is there a wiring diagram/pinout info for the cd changer and radio plugs? Any help would be great, thanks.

I dont thinks so it's gonna work. that cd player send different type of data to the stereo, then stereo decode signal and put it on the speaker. but I can be wrong. im planning to get me 3.5 adapter that connects to antenna in the back of the stereo and will make a video of it

My trunk mounted 12 cd changer was great. The sound system was the only part of the car that never gave me a problem.

I remember seeing a post somewhere where the user added the input to the front of the "head unit" and wired the jack to the leads that sent the signal from the cassette head, generic not Cadillac/Bose Specific
