Trunk switch and fuel door switch not working?

Ever since I bought my Catera three years ago, I have never been able to get the trunk or fuel door switches to work inside the car. I always have to use the keyless entry to open both. Is this just a fuse or something else?

Is there a fuse that controls these two switches?

It could be a fuse (under the dash - driver's side; buy fuses at AutoZone), but the more likely problem is a bad A/C computer module which also controls the trunk, fuel door and radio -- $400 to repair at Cadillac.
