    aftermarket radio wiring

    Hi all,

I need some help how to wire an aftermarket radio to my existing (non bose) system. I see a blue harness behind the radio and do i need a female type blue color harness adapter to hook it up to the aftermarket radio or cut and splice from existing blue male harness and wire it to the aftermarket harness that comes with the radio?

Any diagrams or information will be great.

    thanks.

You need an integration module. The original HU is part of the serial data bus and anti theft system.

Metra makes one. Any mobile audio shop (or online store) can order one.

    Re: aftermarket radio wiring

Thanks. Do you have link for integration module? With this module is it straight plug and play or do I still use the aftermarket harness that comes with new radio? Also, I am using the existing speakers no changes there but just upgrading the radio.

I saw one harness on ebay for like $3.44. Is that the integration module or is it just wiring harness that goes to module?

The one in the second link won't do anything for you.

The correct module for a Bose equipped car is the GMOS-06. I THINK the non Bose version has a 3 in the part number, I believe the one in the first link is correct. Call an audio shop and have them get you the part number to double check.
