i got an aftermarket stereo installed, and when the installer was trying to take out the ashtray, i guess he broke something because instead of being able to push it and have it nicely slide out, i have to pull it out. They wont do anything about it, so does anyone know where i can get a replacement? thanks

dam that's un profesional.... It did not also have to be that same person who installed it some one could of just been messing around not knowing anything about how things work. I myself have same problems people that used my car before me not knowing what word automobile stand for. Only thing I am happy about that they kept ok condition of it and serviced it in ok manners. But yeah what I would do is take it out once you move your car into Nutural or any other position so you can take it out. What you would see is back plug behind it make sure once you put it back it is all the way in now open and close it few times. It should become little smoother to open. It probably was taken out and not put back corectly in groves it slides out of. Getting new unit could cost some money over at Cadillac. Example my side power mirror cost 400$ I refused to pay. I am happy working at Mercedes myself in service department luckaly I can get some discount on such expensive German parts as for my Catera lowering price maybe to $289 some $'s. I got lucky i only hit my side mirror at such hight speed driving I could of totaled whole car.
