Yeah but even if the outside temp sensor is not working, shouldn't the A/C still work? It should not be blowing out hot air at 65 degrees setting. It does the same whether it is on AUTO or MANUAL.

Are you saying that the sensor has to be replaced to have the "outside temp readout" work on the Climate Control?

Re: 2000 Catera AC issue...puzzled???

The Fog Lamp problem is the "Fog Lamp Relay" it is located on a relay and fuse panel that is under the dashboard. If you look real hard it's there somewhere, you'll need a flash light and a lot of standing on your head.

There's a link to "Auto Parts" somewhere on this site, however if you can't locate the link the page address is https://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/mak,CADILLAC You'll find the relay if you search the rockauto page for acdelco d1702a and the cost is $16.49

I'd like to fix mine as the problem is a transistor that I haven't been able to identify.

Best regards

Any ideas??? Fuse? Relay? Bad Unit?

At least I know the AC works...doesn't seem to have anything wrong with the compressor, fan, etc...

HELP!!!

Also, the fog lights will not come on. The button works and the light on the dash comes on, but the fog lights themselves will not come on. Any suggestions???

THANKS!!!

Have same problem; temp setting has to be at 60 degrees to blow cool air; anything above that and you get warm air. Will check if I can find the sensor located on the left side of the front bumper in the lower grill...could be a solution. Ted

Re: 2000 Catera AC issue...puzzled???

Hi Everyone! I have a 97 Catera and jsut had it 2 months. Today the car would'nt start up after I made a short stop for water! So I got a jump and it started right away, NO waiting for charging. Then we thought it was the battery but my Dad checked it and says its the Alternator! NOW the volume on the radio won't work! You can see the stations in tune and the volume up and down on the display working BUT NO SOUND! What the heck happened??? THEN I come her to see that YOU ALL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS I DO WITH the FOG LIGHTS and the INSIDE TEMP READING NOT WORKING!

I live in Texas and it is SOOOOOOOOOOOO hot here that we decided the F degress farenheit means FREACKING HOT and/or
FREAKING COLD!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me know if you know what is wrong with my VOLUME!
