    98 Catera starting issue.

My father in laws 98 Cat is giving him a issue with starting but its only after the cars been driven and warmed up. We thought it was ignition coil so he replaced that with a new spare we had in the garage. Before the new coil was put in it wouldn't start up. Would crank n crank but no ignition. After the new coil it fired right up. He just came back from Toronto which took about 2 hour return trip and after turning car off in our driveway and went to have lunch. went to leave after only half an hour later and would not start. he's thinking Cam sensors. Any and all thoughts appreciated thanks folks

Could be crank shaft position sensor too. Location is by oil filter.
Go rent obd2 scanner from o'riley auto parts and scan for codes on cam shaft position sensor should be fail code, on crank I didnt had any codes.
Sensors should run u around $60 each
