    key fob weak.

    I have tried putting a new durecell battery in and it seemed like the range was better but its back to before, have to be right beside the car for it to work. Is there something i can do to improve the distance to?

    Even brand new, Catera remotes did not go very far. I think 10 ft. was the limit and maybe less depending on where you are with respect to the sensor. I think this is another quirk left over from the Catera's European heritage. In addition to that, the key fobs get weaker with age.

    I have taken it apart and cleaned as much without doing damage to it. Didn't seem dirty or dusty inside either. Ah well guess its something to live with then.

    changed my system to viper can unlock or lock from inside house!
