Does anyone know what the psi is for a compresstion test. I have to check one of my cylinders and need to know the psi. Thank
Within 10% of the other 7 cylinders, engine warm, no spark plugs installed, throttle blocked wide open, ignition disabled, at least 3 full crank rotations. Probably around 155# or so.
If a cylinder is low, squirt in a half teaspoon of engine oil. Now, if the compression comes up, it's ring problems; if the compression stays about the same it's a bad valve.
