    hello people,

I see a big blank box in the upper right corner. You had some text there or something?

Are you looking for an HVAC part? I thought the part you have circled is the sensor for the automatic headlights (Twilight Sentinel).

Looks like the sun load sensor, not the photocell.

Re: German User need you help to identify HVAC sensor

    thanks for the answer,

it's hard to find something if you do not know the name.
The german name of this part is "Sonnensensor" goggle-translate makes "sun sensor".
In the Opel Omega is the same part as in the circled, the Sensor has the funktion to
watch where most came from sun to regulate the 2-zones-clima.
The Catera sensor is electrically different from Opel sensor (climate USA - climate Germany ???)
If i use the Sensor from Opel the climatecontrol works bad.
The German cadillac dealer says to me: Without a partnumber i cant order it - i dont find the part on my list.
Now my hope is you can tell me the number or better a link to a shop where I can pay with paypal.

    best regards,
    Micha

So you have a Catera, not an Omega? The car in the picture is yours? What year is it? I can PM a member here to get you the Cadillac part number.

Re: German User need you help to identify HVAC sensor

    oh... sorry...
no, the car in the picture is not mine, i use it to identify the sensor.
I drive an Opel Omega MV6 , 211HPS with this Dash Board ( is "Dash Board" the correct name ?)

    opel-omega-ope_98_ok_2.jpg

and in my Omega the owner before me, insert the climate control from Catera

    cadillac-catera-03.jpg

I have found that the omega and the catera were produced in the same factory in Rüsselsheim Germany.
The Omega B was made from 1994 to 2001
at 1996 Cadillac search a Car for lower price segment and use the opel platform to build the Catera.
The Body and the Engine are the same, but the equipment inside becomes a higher level than opel.
German opel omega drivers can use only single slot radios like this,

    e0646a 001.jpg

    Catera drivers can use this...

    232323.JPG

The owner before me has installed all to use biger radio,
but he has forget to change the sensor i search

my car is made 1998 and the HVAC he used is from a Catera 1998
if you can PM the member to get me the part number, i will be very happy.

    a lot of thanks,
    Micha

PM sent. He'll be at work tomorrow morning.

Yes, "dashboard" is the correct term. In my opinion, the Opel dash is much cleaner and high end looking than what the Catera got.

Both sensors are in the same "pod" on the dash. What color is your interior?

    It's nice to learn more.

    The part number is 90437972.

They're available at http://vpartsinc.com , but I'm not sure if they ship internationally. You could try Googling the number if not.
