    97 Catera hard to start

sometimes it starts up normally, sometimes it wont unless you crank it for a long time...here is what i know and have replaced:

Replaced coil, 75.00 bucks, 116.00 witho overnight shipping, coil was bad one one bank,
    Replaced plugs
    Replaced valve cover gaskets
    Replaced fuel filter, clean anyway
check fuel pressure, was over 45 to 50
125lbs each cylinder, give or take 1 or 2lbs, very close

after replacing coil it was running fine, come out the next morning and no start, crank for a long time finallys started, acted like it was flooded and smelled like strong fuel smell.

started having a hard time starting.
Replaced CPS, since i had this issue on another catera previously, but no change...

i am thinking maybe regulator...I have spark, fuel, pressure, 125lbs compression, once it runs it runs great, but does miss at idle once in a while...

any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

cam shaft position sensor and crank shaft position sensor will make car not to crank or crank after few times
missing at idle could be due to air leak i have dropping idle on stops some times and could not find issue with that for over a year now
