Well, the water pump was leaking so I guess that was causing the residue on the timing cover. Maybe the camshaft and crankshaft seals are okay and I tried to to loosen the crankshaft gear but no luck in loosening the center bolt the crankshaft just spins when I try to loosen it.

Any other way to hold it down so it does not move?


also the camshaft locking tool for camshaft 1 and 2 does not fit properly so I cannot lock it in to remove it and replace the seals.
