    Paint Code

I have a 1999 Catera and I was wondering if anyone can tell me where the paint code is located. I can't seem to find any information in my owners manual.

    Thanks..

    Re: Paint Code

I think that it is within the VIN number or on the door jamb

It's not "within", as in part of, the VIN, but it should be on one if the jamb labels. It'll also be on your RPO sticker. Probably adhered to the underside of your spare tire cover.

    Re: Paint Code

paint code is on the SPID label
(the RPO code label usually on the spare tire cover for most vehicles)

the paint color RPO code - if you know which one it is - can be translated to the universal (or U or WA) paint code
that U/WA code is also on the bottom line of the SPID label (usually Uxxxx)
