If you've been running with a leaking oil cooler it could be one or all of your engines bearings. Whatever you saved on the purchase you're gonna blow on a rebuild or engine swap. You may as well part it out.

    Re: knock sound

Oil pressure is around 70. If you are sitting in the yard and rev it up to 1,000 rpm it makes a bad knock sound. sounds kinda like you putting a card in a bycicle wheel. But if you rev up past 1,000 rpm it goes away. As soon as you get off the pedal it will make that sound around 1,000 again and sometimes while its idleing at 500 rpm.
