    AC line connector question. Tools?

Found a leak in my '97 Cat AC Condenser tube,

I just got a replacement, but I have no idea how to disconnect the line with the little green tabbed "cap":

This is the first time I have encountered such a fitting. It looks complicated.
Any special tool to use for this? Tips, tricks, etc.?

My Google skills have yielded no results!

I think there's a special tool to disconnect the lines. Maybe this tool might work.

    Thanks, retho!
I actually have a set of each of these, (and other types of disconnect tools) but the pic above showing the snap ring is kind of throwing me off!

Here is a couple of pics of a similar one (this one goes into the Evap.)

I cannot see any way to get the disconnect tool past the green "cap", obviously it has no clearance.

Wondering if that green cap comes off? I have tried screwing it off in both directions, pulling gently, and squeezing it to no avail.
(Don't really want to break something, the fitting packs are ~$30 ea., and there are 3 involved in order to remove all the lines, need be.)

Even ALLDATA gives me no direction!

It does come off per the Catera service manual and it also shows the all the quick connect o-rings and locks. It only says to remove the quick connect fitting from the evaporator tube extension :-(. Also, have you tried squeeze and turn together?

    Thanks.

Well, still can't figure out how to get this off, so I just ordered 2 new ones:

    $11.40 ea vs. $27.XX!
Figure that once I get the kit, I can possibly figure them out! LOL
I'll live with the leak until they arrive, temps here in the 90s every day, gotta have my A/C!
