    1997 Catera/ Oxygen senser, senser 1, bank 1 code

Hello my cater has beed starting then after I drive it won't start again . It's been doing this for 2 weeks know I saw on here about changing the CPS so I did but still starts drive but when I shut it off it won't start just cranks like it doesn't have any gas going to the engine . Well my buddy came over read my codes it said O2 senser 1 bank 1 . So will this really make my car not start cause to me it feels like the gas lines are clog or like I said no gas is getting to the engine . I sprayed engine starter but it starts but dies then just turns over but no gas. Well any I deas I though about the fuel pump but I though once they go they go ! Thanks in advance !

The O2 sensor isn't causing your no start issue.

Next time the car won't start, remove the gas cap, put your ear to the opening, and have a friend turn the key to the ON position. Do you hear the fuel pump whirring? Better yet, hook a fuel pressure gauge up to it next time it won't start.

I must say also now it wont even crank on it use to turn on but die now just the start cranks ! thanks

How full is the tank when this happen? does it happen EVERY time?

does the car every stall while driving? or does it simply not want to restart each and every single time?
