1)will not shift out of park when brake is depressed, any help with this would be greatly appreciated...
First, eliminate the brake switch by seeing if your brake lights come on. There is an emergency yellow tab inside the shifter boot if it became jammed up. You can release it manually by stepping on the brake and moving the tab.. If it keeps happening, check the shift interlock solenoid inside the sifter boot.

Replace the brake light switch. I had the same problem. You have to remove the leather cover over the shifter console and find the yellow interlock release. To remove the leather cover, pull up from the inside. You will feel the plastic bracket and just pull up. Once the cover is removed, push the yellow interlock forward at the same time you are trying to shift out of park. (Make sure your foot is on the brake!) You likely will not have any brake lights. Replace the brake light switch ASAP!
