Funny Problem

I just got my car back from getting the tranny rebuilt. I had a few problems with Cottman and their crappy work. So now for some reasome my Signal lights and Sun Roof don't work as they should. Once I start the car they work but after a few seconds they go out. They worked fine when I took my car in for repairs.

Anyone have this problem before? I want to make sure its a common problem before I take legal action against them . Also Under my hood my car is making a Puttering sound when i start it , It's pretty loud I can here it when I drive.

Re: Funny Problem

I don't know if the 97 sun roof works the same as my 2001, but if I disconnect my battery I have to reprogram the sun roof. The instructions are in the owners manual. Hope this helps one of your problems.

Re: Funny Problem

The puttering sound... does it sound like its the engine or mechanical? I can see an issue with the exhaust not being connected or connected right. Does it change with revs?

As for the signal lights and the sunroof... thats an odd one. They might be connected to the wrong power source or ...? I do know that not having signal's is illegal and can be dangerious and that if you are planning to take legal action with the shop that did this ... they should take care of this issue and the "puttering" sound. If it were me, I would not attempt to fix anything yet. Do your brake lights work? Cruise control? Headlights?

(Note: Im not giving advice, just my opinion)

Re: Funny Problem

The Puttering sound in in the engine bay towards the back near the passenger side. It's like after the car get warmed up the noise kicks in.

As for my lights the only ones that worked were the Head lights> I checked my fuses to find that I had like 6 blown. Also next to the fuses there are whats seems to be Bigger fuses mostly Black and Gray. 2 are missing they are lable lX and llX ans seem to be white, anyone have a clue as to what they are I know the Green one is for my horn.

Thanks for all your help guys.
