    Help with heater core hoses

Hello I've got a heater hose that is leaking , it is the upper hose running to the heater core . I can't figure out how to disconect the hose from the core and I sure don't want to tear something up. Thanks Raffter

If you have already bought the replacment, you should be able to see how the quick connect works. If yours is like mine and leaking at the quick connection you can do what I did and save the $50 for the hose. I just cut the quick connect link off the hose and reattached hose with a clamp. The main reason I did it was because I couldnt get the other end loose from the heater control valve. I still have the quick connection end but cant remember how it came loose. I think I just took a screw driver and pryed the quick connection and broke it. If you have the replacement part or are going to use the clamp, it does not matter if you break the part you are removing. I learned that the hard way spending an hour or more trying to remove the brake swith on my catera until I realized that I had the replacment and was free to break the old one.

i had a quick connector leaking all you do is press in the tab as far as you can with your fingers. Pinch it another words. press the hose in and pull it will come off. It takes everything you got but it will go. do the easiest hose first.
