I recently changed my alternator on my 97 cat. After that my sunroof wont open . it isnt a fuse . any ideas???

If your sure its not a fuse... it may be an issue with it relearning how to work( yes that sounds funny).

Other posibillities - (very carefully) Pop off the knob if you can and see if the knob guides have slipped or the knob cracked. Other than that it could be an electrical connection to the switch or motor, or the motor/switch could be bad.

You have to reprogram the sunroof. The procedure is in the owners manual. You have to do this everytime you disconnect the battery, and also for the express touch windows.
