Re: A/C & Heat

First off, does the climate control center "light up" ?

Does the blowerfan work? (if the climate control works)

... need more info.

Try cycling your hazard fuse if your control head does not seem to be working....common problem!

Re: A/C & Heat

So if im correct on this, your a/c controls work and so does your blowerfan. But no flow is comming out of the vents? First try mastertechs probable solution..

Then;

1. It could be clogged - the piping/various parts related. May require mechanic to go through system.

2. The climate control unit is not controlling it. Meaning its bad.

3. There are 5 stepper motors, making changes in the system for various things like flow direction. One of these systems may not be working, or closed shut.

A thing to try (with the key in the on position) is hold the auto and off buttons on the climate control for 5+ seconds. This should attempt to move the valves to their home position. You may beable to hear them moving, and if theres no noise then somethings not working or its fine... and theres another problem yet to be discovered.

Re: A/C & Heat

The controls are working fine but the blower fan does not work, all fuses are intact and relays appear to be in working order, is there a way I can test the blower fan?

Re: A/C & Heat

Take out the fan, and test the connection for power. If theres power going to it but the fans not working then its the fan.

Re: A/C & Heat

Is there an easy way to take out the fan, perhaps some instructions on how to do it. Thanks

Re: A/C & Heat

I'm not sure about the Catera, but many of the blower fans have a fuse located on them along with a fuse in the fuse panel. I would check the fuse on the blower before replacing the blower.
