Re: Radio Swap, Removal - Comments?

Not ignored sorry this sight does not seem to let me know when there is new post to a thread.

Anyway, let me answer the questions:

    Couple questions:
    1. Which iSimple is that? I don't have an iPod/iPhone, so I need something with aux input I guess, and i'm not even sure which one you've got as their pics look different from your pics, so I don't know which to buy.

    Its the SOUNDBYTE - http://isimplesolutions.com/integrat...SoundByte.aspx

    2. Were the links on that instruction packet actually clickable?

No but here is the link - http://isimplesolutions.com/integrat...SoundByte.aspx

    3. Was there an option to install it behind the stereo rather than in the trunk? I would wonder if cd-changer plug in the trunk = cd changer plug at the unit?

No I pulled my head unit to see and there is only one combined connector on the back of the radio.

Ah thanks, the soundbyte was the only one I didn't look into.. Says it's not compatible with my model year
Gonna have to go with the TranzIt/TranzIt USB
    *Sigh* dumb ol' fm modulator
I had hoped the Gateway would work, having that with Blu Stream would be epic

And the bit about the link in the instruction packet was a little joke :-P

I know this threads old, but I'm hoping someone might have a response. The original poster mentioned that you have an '00 catera, as do I, when I go to the website to order a soundbyte, it says not compatible with the '00. did you order the one for the '01, and if I do, will it work on my '00. (should I have the right port in my trunk to plug it into).

    Much appreciated!

I also have a 2000, it has the connection for the CD Changer in the trunk, yet it doesn't show as compatible

Does anyone have any experience connecting this to a 2000 Unit ?
