    Service Code Help

    I have a 98 Cadillac Catera, What do service codes P1740 and P3333 mean? the OBD site says P17XX means transmission but refer to manufacturer and P3333 says Manufacture Controlled and SAE reserved. Please help. Need to know if its worth carrying on with the car.

    ok p1740 is transmission, it say "torque reduction signal circuit" the trans send signal to the ECM to reduce engine torque to improve shift feel.
    the trans is sending message to engine control module (ECM) but ECM not hearing it. as far as other code my book dont have it listed
