Well, I Have A 97 Cadillac Catera And My Timing Belt Is Broken. How Can I Tell If The Valves On My Engine Are Damage. Does Is Automatically Damage The Valves When It Breaks. Help Please!!!!!!

I am pretty sure the catera engine is an interference engine, but im not real sure... You would be REALLY lucky if no damage was done.....

Yes, wes, you are correct.
Once you start it up again with everything correct (belt on, referance marks aligned etc).. then you'll know.

I guess you could just align everything and hope it works out!!!
