    Pre-facelift Halogen to Projection Swap

Hey all, due to recent accident (see Catera vs Bobcat), I was able to purchase a set of projection lights for my Catera. I'm just wondering if any 97-99 owners have done the swap and have any additional information or parts that I may need to do the install. From what I remember I don't need new ballasts unless I upgrade to a HID kit. Anyone know if this is true?

If they are euro aftermarket projectors one wire needs to be spliced in one of the headlights. Otherwise, it's pretty straight forward. You only need ballasts if you want/have hid bulbs, but those would swap over as well. I believe there was a thread a while back on the topic.

Cool, thanks Hazzard. The seller is emailing me instructions as well I just wanted some info before they arrive. Did you put the Euro projectors on yours?

I been trying to save for some for my current cat, but i have run into too may other expenses at this point. I upgraded my headlights on my 2001 cat when i had it. I plan to eventually get some for my current cat. Did you just get the standard chrome or the blacked ones?

Standard Chrome, I don't think the blacks will look good on an ocean catera. I'm thinking that I may get a new lower air dam, and paint that chrome to match everything. All that's left is some chrome 18s or 19s. I've seen some previous posts, I'm looking to get some aftermarket side mirrors. I've seen the member Catera has some, and its the only prefacelift cat that I've seen with the entire mirror assembly painted and not that cheesy plastic stuff.
