Did you get the new headlights yourself? If so where from I'm looking for a new set myself.

Why? Are they busted? NIB those headlights are worth their weight in platinum. If yours are just cloudy you can easily and cheaply buff them out. I had one broken and replaced by the other guy's insurance. IIRC it was over $600 USD. Of course now the other one looked hazy in comparison. I used Crystal View from Advance Auto Parts to match it to the new one. Worked great. Anyway, other than searching for used headlights on ebay or in salvage yards you're going to pay through the nose for a new pair.

Good to know. I just got my Catera a few weeks ago and wasnt sure how hard parts were to come by. I buffed them out twice already and havent gotten the results ive wanted yet so I thought it might be easier to buy new but now i guess ill keep buffing at that price. lol Thanks

I think they've updated the steps on the instruction sheet but this is basically the technique I used.

My Cat is a 2001 Sport with HID Projector Headlights. Make sure you buy the correct headlight for your car. You don't want to deal with overseas exchanging. Remember that the '97-'99 headlights won't fit your car. They're shaped differently. Also, the German lights should be OK since the drive on the right like we do but don't buy any Vauxhall lights. They drive on the left and would blind oncoming traffic.

PS: Use Google translator: http://translate.google.com/#de|en| Just insert the URL and it will translate the page. It might read a little awkward but you'll get their meaning.

Well I got the headlights on ebay, from a Canadian distributer, who had to ship from Germany, only paid $360 Canadian. After payment cleared in Paypal, lights took 2 days to get to my door. Speaking of which, they just got here Wednesday!

I'm pretty sure there is one wire that does require rewiring.

Ask CateraMV6. He's the headlight expert around here.

No HID, but anyone thats planning to upgrade, needs to know, that the H7 bulb listed is incorrect, you actually need an H1 bulb for the low beam (projector).
Also the wiring description in the link below, is very accurate, and once you have the lights in your hands, it all makes sense.

Remove grille(4 screws phillips), remove trim pieces (one per piece screw phillips), remove light fasteners (3 per light 5/16" hex), remove wire harness from old light. Highbeams and turn signal lights transfer to the new units. Low beam required H1 bulbs. Follow rewire steps in previous post. Reassembly is the same in reverse! That simple. Honestly, including rewiring, this is a 45-50 min job.
