Not true. The LSD was a rare item limited to Police versions, what the Brits call Plods. The Plod was a heavy duty packaged Omega MV6 similar to the P71 Crown Vics. Though the Catera is partly based on the MV6, not all MV6s had the LSD. If you shop ebay/UK you can sometimes find an LSD for sale. Should slide right into the Cat's diff mount.

here are some photos.. lets see if I did it correct.

yay It worked! as you can see in the close up.. i did some paint. the prior owner used them as winter rims on his ss cobalt, so there was a bit of salt damage. So I painted the insets with a textures gunmetal paint. 5.77 at walmart and clear coated afterward. what do yall think?

There are no spacers on the car. I think they look fine. and I used my riken rapter 235 45 17. the car drives great!! I highly recomend these tires! on the down side.. the car has craped out today.. its stalling when I make turns, the check engine like went off also. the idol is just not working. I had to 2 foot it home fromt he store.. :-((

Thanks Elvin I stand corrected. I did actually buy Vauxhall Parts from UK for some items. Does the LSD get recognized with ABS and other stuff without any issues if it could be brought in?

Do you think it will be worthwhile to do as my 2001 Catera is 100,000+ miles already.

I learned a lot from this forum and one biggy was to replace the rear coils with GTO coils on my Catera as one of my coils was broken at the bottom. This was Elvin's direct info for me,

Sorry to hear about the breakdown............. but the wheels look excellent. The black-out paint makes the spokes pop. I might try it myself.

its a textured gunmetal color its a metalic too! $5.77 a can at walmart one can did all 4 wheels. it took me 45 min from start to finish.. taping the rims and all! I like the look on the car.. I may add 5mm spacers eventually. but the car is not running so.. oye!
