    *Changing SHIFT KNOB* ??

Has anybody else successfully changed the shift knob in their Catera?? Or is it impossible since the sport button is located on the top, and the knob itself also has the 'trigger' you pull when changing gears? (Drive, reverse, etc...) I'd really like to change the shift knob... Thanks!! Also, if somebody has a pic, I'd appreciate it. Easy to do? Do I need a specific knob to do it, (other than universal) ??

*I used to like the original shift knob too... but then I started looking online and finding things that blow the generic leather knob out of the water! Grenades, gun handles... all kinds of crazy stuff. Does anybody know if it can easily be done, or is it a lost cause??

    No one answered the question.
How does the shifter knob on a 97 Cat. come off? I need to replace the leather cover.

Did you ever figure out how to remove the knob?
