Take a look at the following two pictures.... fist one is of my OEM HELLA HID lights which is what is in every omega around the world.
Second picture is of the Replica FX Projectors which are same size but bixenon which means they have low and high beam in one unit.
The Hella lights in our cars were designed 10-13years ago and as you can imagine the technology has improved a lot.
The Hella unit has a plastic bowl, flat cutoff shield and a frosted lens which is supposed to smere the output so that its less defined.
The plastic bowls are known to fog up, the cutoff shield does not provide the maximum output and the frosted lens does not pass 100$ of the light through it. Some light scatter (Loss) results in from the lens features.
The FXR on the other hand has Aluminium bowl designed with the latest reflection surfaces, optimizing curved shield and a crystal clear lens.
Result is the efficiency of the unit is much higher and as a result of it being a REPLICA unit the engineers were not restricted by regulations such as ECE or DOT so they had the freedom to design a projector the way many of the HID enthusiasts would want it to be.
If you are up to the task to upgrade you find out that you have been missing out on a lot. Going form OEM HIDs to these Aftermarket units is like going from Halogen to HIDs...
