It was probably expensive as hell being an CTS V grille but in person it looks stunning, and for some reason I really dig that indented look of the actual grill... its different and very unique in its own way.

Re: Catera-V

Purchased on line, probably not as expensive as your Opel grill considering shipping. The Opel grill is a unique look also.

Re: Catera-V

I presume that the cam you are running is pretty mild, do you know the specs?

Also how usable the 0.50 6th gear with the 3.07 Omega V8 diff?

Since I'm going to be using a T56 as well, I'm looking into a numerically higher gear for the diff.
I read on the Australien Holden forums that around 2001 the Holden BTR diff internals were changed
when they got bought out by Dana (BTR was Borg Warner's Australian subsidiary). So apparantly
the later internals from the GTO will not work; so I'll have to order the older gears from Australia.
I have not been able to confirm yet if our Omega diffs are of the older style but I beleive they are
becuase the newer ones do not have BTR Automotive cast into them.

The cam is mild but I do not know the specs. 5th is very usable, 6th ok above 60. I started out with a 3.9 catera diff (blew it up) and installed the 3.07 v8 diff. I would recommend a 3.5-3.7 ratio. I have also been trying to find out if GTO guts fit in the BTR units. fred

http://www.difftechnics.com.au

That is the company that makes the gears. They told me that was a difference with the earlier diffs but
they never got back to me when I asked how you tell the difference.
