| Re: 2000 Catera Running hot Thanks Barry, the other day the outside temp was only about 70 degrees, and lately the engine temp as been running just slightly over half while driving, but sitting in traffic due to an accident the temp began to climb kicking the cooling fans on, but as I sat there the oil pressure began to drop as the engine temp went up and the pressure went into the red zone and the oil pressure light came on. When I finally got going the pressure increased with acceleration, however the oil pressure light stayed on. It's not the oil level as that is full and was just changed about a month ago. I drove home, about 20 miles, and checked the oil and it seemed awfully thin....any ideas? if this is happening at 70 degrees I can't imagine what will happen when it's 90 degrees outside...
