    RPM Idle???

    Hi there everyone!

I have a 2001 Catera Sport and it has about 19000 miles on it.

When the car is warm and it is idleing, it is at 500 RPM! Is this normal?

All my other cars are around 750-800.

I thought you catera drivers would know.

    Thanks for you help!
    Dave...

    Re: RPM Idle???

Does it stumble out of idle if you rev it? (or hesitate). How is power when your driving it?

500-600 seems pretty good for this car, its meant to be smooth. ill check what the idle is on ours .
