    Angry alignment and air shocks

I brought my car in to get aligned today and they are unable to align the rear because they say the torsion bars are bad? Well, i called cadillac and they say they dont have torsion bars on the back. The top of the rear tires or in a little so it eats the edge of the tire, any ideas on the problem? Also, they say the rear air shocks are leaking but the leveling light isnt coming on after the initial start up of the car, is that something to worry about?

    Re: alignment and air shocks

Umm anyone who says this car has torsion bars in the rear, does not know the car... i wouldnt go to them. Id get a second opinion from another mechanic.

There is a set amount of camber that angles the rear wheels slightly out on this car, this is to improve cornering. If its actually destroying the tyre then it is out of alignment OR you have a bent rim. Recalling your sqealing problem... im not sure if it would cause great effect on the brakes or not. A bent wheel would destroy the tyre and possibly the bearings.

The air bags, if they were leaking you'd notice the ride height change, and the light would blink or stay on all the time.
