    Brake squeal

I cannot get the brakes to stop squealing. And I mean LOUD!! I have more then half life left on all pads. OEM GM pads in front and wherever golds (never had a problem with these) on the rear and pretty new rotors but when they heat up, the pads squeal extremely loud. I tried the adhesive spray on stuff to the back of the pads to stop the squeal and it doesnt work. any ideas?

Is the car pulling to any direction left or right, when you stop? Is there any metal to metal contact in the area of the caliper and pads? Has something come loose like a clip? ARE any of the pads missing? Check every wheel for abnormallities. Has the brake fluid been changed? Do the calipers move freely? Its best to take each one off, and inspect them.

    Re: Brake squeal

I checked everything, but today when i went for an alignment, i was told that they cannot align the rear and that the "rods" are worn out and need to be replaced because it wobbles the back wheels around? would this play a factor?
