Re: Performance chip, is this for real?

Hum strange it claims reflashing but that box can't rewrite in the ecu without erasing an programming again
this seems to bee a resistor box that modify O2 sensor or Wtemp signal to modify ignition and injection but that's not good for the engine sécurity (resistor box gives bad information to ecu ... so if engine overheat then it goes not in security

so the best for you is trust a professional Chip tuner you should find in USA for domestic cars ...in normal way that cars are all tuned over the obdplug

Benton, AR isn't all that far from me. Personally I would never trust my vehicle to a $50 chip. YMMV
The above post is my 2 cents....nothing more.

I had a feeling it was no good. So has anyone put in a legit performance chip with any success?

Another BS pordict for sure; eBay Motors if full of this snake oil crap.

There was a company on eBay.co.uk selling legit chips for the 1997 and 1998 3.0L V6 cars. The North American ECM's did differ so you also had to get the european ECM for the chip to work. 1999+ PCM's do not use removable chips.
