Changing oil housing to conventional filter
2001 Cadillac Catera 3.0L I cracked my oil filter housing lid while changing my oil. I did some research on how to replace this part and found that you are able to switch this housing to a conventional filter. I bought the filter and took off the housing. On the inside there is no stud for the filter to screw onto. there was just the torque bit screw ( star head ) that screwed the housing onto the motor. Where can I find a stud that is threaded on both sides so it screws into the motor and aslo hold the filter ? Any help is appreciated.
