1988 Cimarron Fasten Seat Belt Light

My 1988 Cimarron Fasten Seat Belt Light stays on after I fasten the belt. The warning sound goes off. I figure it may be the fuse, but I can't identify which fuse by the labels on the panel. Or, is it possilby something else. Thanks

Could be a broken wire. I don't know where to check though on a Cimarron.

Thanks for the responses. It has corrected itself somehow, but I will check for the wire anyway.

1988, isn't that considered a classic. I think a classic is 20 years and an antique after 25 years. Not sure. What kind of condition is it in ?

I guess it is on the verge of being a classic. It's condition is pretty good. The engine runs good and the body has a few dings. The automatic door locks are disconnected because they kept chycling on and off and I didn't want to spend the money. The AC is marginal, but works fairly well right now. The tires are good. I have not opened the sun roof in years. The front seat leather is getting worn and cracking a little, but generally still looks good. The visors are sewed up to the ceiling fabric because they keep falling down. There is a rattle in the roof that sounds like a loose brace. The shocks are probably shot. The power antenna motor is intermitent, and I had to replace the original radio a few years ago, and one of the rear "winged" emblems is missing. It has 112,726 miles. We are the second owners and it had about 50,000 miles on it when we bought it. In spite of all that my wife loves it.
