Vents blow hot air after AC

After I would turn off the AC, the vents would start to blow hot air (like when the car is just blowing vented air). It isnt blowing at a fast speed, but it would make the car so much hotter. Is this due to the result of the vents not closing properly?

Also, after im exiting off the highway, the oil light (orange) would appear. It would stay there for a minute or so and then go away. Nothing appears to be wrong with the car but it does get annoying. Any ideas?

My vents also blow air, so I assume that is the normal behavior. My oil light comes on if I start running low on oil. That usually happens on the highway, but still a good indication. Just top it off.

In my travels I think all GM cars of this time frame do that. I think the only thing you may want to look for is a vacume leak. If it doesnt switch from vent to defrost to floor very well then I would keep on looking till you find a leak in the system some where. Someone else may be of more help on this and the Catera vents may even be electric but I did have a Grand Prix that had a problem moving from defrost to vent and it was a vacume leak.

That said, My car does the same thing but not anymore that other GM cars I have had. I always hate it and think it could be easily fixed in there design over the ears. When I say OFF I want OFF! not Gentle Breeze.
