    Changed thermostat now cat won't start PLEASE HELP

    My Catera was overheating so I changed out the thermostat. Well somehow or another I must have screwed up, disconnected something I shouldn't have because now my car won't start and there is this electrical connector and this hose that is not connected to anything. I was wondering if somebody might know what these two things go to, so I might find the other ends. When I tried to start the car it almost acted like the battery was dead by first attempting to turn over then no reaction to cranking after a few tries. I tried to jump it off and now the car won't even turn over... please if someone can help me I would really really appreciate it. I am not a mechanic and I sure hope I didn't really screw something up. I have the GM repair books if someone can possibly refer me to the correct section I would greatly appreciate that as well.

    The connector looks like it belongs to the coil pack...? not sure about the hose. Give it time others will chime in I'm sure.

    I agree that wire harness looks like it goes to the coil.

    The hose that is not hooked up, should not be hooked up. It is actually a vent tube for the transmission.

    Thank you guys for your help that is exactly what it was. LOL I don't even know why I disconnected it. Car started right up like normal and no more overheating! YAY! You guys are the greatest.
