Changed thermostat now cat won't start PLEASE HELP

My Catera was overheating so I changed out the thermostat. Well somehow or another I must have screwed up, disconnected something I shouldn't have because now my car won't start and there is this electrical connector and this hose that is not connected to anything. I was wondering if somebody might know what these two things go to, so I might find the other ends. When I tried to start the car it almost acted like the battery was dead by first attempting to turn over then no reaction to cranking after a few tries. I tried to jump it off and now the car won't even turn over... please if someone can help me I would really really appreciate it. I am not a mechanic and I sure hope I didn't really screw something up. I have the GM repair books if someone can possibly refer me to the correct section I would greatly appreciate that as well.

The connector looks like it belongs to the coil pack...? not sure about the hose. Give it time others will chime in I'm sure.

    Good Luck

I agree that wire harness looks like it goes to the coil.

The hose that is not hooked up, should not be hooked up. It is actually a vent tube for the transmission.
