oil light problem

Hey everyone. i was wondering if you guys can give me some advice.

I recently got my car back form getting an oil change and my oil light has come on my dash. I will be calling the place that did the oil change and ask them whast up. but looking to see if you guys have any info on what my cause this. they say they added 6 litres of oil and the oil pressure guage seems to look good. not showing to low pressure or anything. they ended up using a fram filter. and some quaker state 5w30 oil.

any info would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Re: oil light problem

What color is the oil can? Red or Amber? Red = low pressure. Amber = low level.

Re: oil light problem

That sir, I did not know! Wasnt there a fix for the oil light dinging and coming on by replacing the sensor? I found a loose sensor on the pass. side of the oil pan kinda around on top of the oil pan (you know what I mean?). It is not getting a good ground I think but wouldnt that be the level light sensor not the pressure sensor? If I need to jimmy with the presure sensor where is it at again? I would love to hear what you come up with on this!

Re: oil light problem

well My 98 Catera Does The Same Thing With The Oil Light. It Comes On A Lot And I Found Out It's Only When It Needs Changing. The Tricky Thing Is My Car Wont Except No Oil But Valvoline. Tried Being Cheap And Going Somewhere Other Than Where I Use Too And Light Came On Soon As I Left. Went To Jiffy Lube And Drained The Walmart Oil And Light Did'nt Come Back On Until It's Telling Me Too Change It Or It Will If It's Low.
