Re: Help-Car filling up with water

Where is the water acumulating?? I had a problem with water in the passenger front floor. I peeled back the carpet and found about 6 inchs in some parts, enough to submerge the air vents that run under the seats. I had to cut out alot of heavy soak foam to find the hole at a weld seam behind the glovebox. The drain plug in the engine compartment was clogged with leaves mud.
To find this plug, open the hood, passenger side close to the windsheild remove the plastic panel closest to the mirror, you should see about 6 inchs of water built up in the cavity under the panel. Once the water gets up high enough it pours over a point that is not sealed. You may need a long needle nose to get the plug out, or use a strong shop vac. Hopefully this helps.

Yes, it's mainly in the front passenger side. Almost looks to be coming from behind the glove box. I'll take that panel off and try to get the leaves out.

    Thanks for your help

I had the same problem, clearing the drain fixed it. You can get to it from underneath to pull any objects out.
