clock is resetting itself on 98 catera

Remove this ad
Hi Everyone:
I have an issue with the clock resetting itself everytime I turn the car off for an extended period of time, example over night. Can anyone help? I have tightened the battery cables and checked the fuses and all seems to be ok. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the battery is about to die. Is it 4 years old or more?

unless the battery was completely dead at these time chances are its not your battery, you are losing complete power to the radio somehow and that circuit needs to be checked

Re: clock is resetting itself on 98 catera

Thanks for your input. The battery is not that old and I do believe I am losing power somewhere. It actually resets itself after almost every stop, meaning after I turn off the car for more than 15 minutes. Thanks anyways.
