1998 Catera-Please help

Hello everyone,
I have had several problems over the last past months with this car (Alternator, tires, battery, crank sensor) just to name a few....
Yesterday I had the alternator replaced and now this morning the car is driving like it dont want to really go. (not moving at normal speed-when foot is on gas pedal) The car is driving really slow... it takes about a minute to get up to about 45-50mph. I am so confused and getting so tired of putting money into this car. Do anyone have any idea what this may be from???
Also my TC, ABS, leveling and coolant light keeps coming on... Please help.

Oh, and my truck will not close without hitting the locked button first.

That's it for now... Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: 2008 Catera-Please help

It could possibly be a MAF sensor. "The Mass Airflow Sensor meters the air coming into the engine in order to determine the fuel/air ratio. When they go bad or are dirty they generally cause rough idling, sluggish acceleration, or missfiring on all or random cylinders..." as stated in the post below yours. This is just throwing someting out there for you to think about. More often a bad maf would cause your car to be slugish with random acceleration at points, but just an idea. You can get one at the dealership but it would run you about $280 for just the part. You can get a new one online for about $150, or a used for about $50 on www.car-parts.com Good luck.

Re: 1998 Catera-Please help

do yourself a favor, any time your vehicle displays any indicators... that means the computer that moniters your car has seen a problem, the most cost effective and logical thing to do is invest the minimal amount of money and have the system scanned get the codes and do some research.....guessing on a part is just a shot in the dark at most two cars can have the same symptoms with different corrections
