Missing on 2,4,6 need help please,99 Cat

Was running rough...I relpaced plugs and both coil packs also CPS. also replaced o2 sensor before converter , had converter checked its ok. Could the new coil pack on 246 be bad ?

Any way to check it besides dianostic ? auto zone justs tells which cylinder not cause

A lot of people on here including myself had this problem and it most often is a malfunctioning MAF sensor.

He could be right. I replaced both ignition packs and MAF at the same time.

I do think my MAF is bad because when I disconnect the connector it will at least idle relatively smoothly...it appears a MAF is in order... thanks all will let you all know the outcome

You can try cleaning the MAF, just be careful, because the small probes are relatively delacate. Use either electrical contact cleaner or alcholol on a cotton swab. DON'T SPRAY STUFF DIRECTLY INTO IT, as they are very sensitive (i've broken one before). It might be worth a shot, as MAF sensor's aren't cheap.
