odd idle

2001 catera

help i just change the timing belt and reset the Throttle position sensor per the owners manual i waited three mins but it still idles from 1000 rpm up to 2100 over and over like i am pushing down on the gas and letting off what could be wrong i looked and all the vacuum lines are hooked up and all wires to please help if you can thanks.
