I'll show you from start to finish on it. I know i didn't get real far on it but i only had it for about a little short of a year. I loved that blue too. So i was driving on a state road and some guy didn't see me and pulled out right in front of me, i slammed on the brakes but it was just too late. I guess I'm just going to have to get a sport and a ls6 with the other guy's insurance money. It's sad, prepare yourself.

Nice catera....minus the lower air dam mesh and lights. I feel sorry for ya 'cause i had a spinout around 2 months ago and fu**ed the suspension but just got it back today!!! Nice system too. Well hope you get something better but when it was stock it looked like new. Good thing your ok.

From a fellow Catera owner...I'm paying my respects... That blows, especially since some 1970's FORD pick-up took out your Car. Be sure to show the insurance agents all the extra money and care that was put in the car to ensure you get maximum value on the claim.

As a former 1997 Catera owner, I replaced it with a 2001 Catera Sport. Start looking for a Catera Sport, should be able to get a nice one for 5K to 6K. Check out CateraMV6 and his modified Sport in the other posts. He's done a nice job with doing his car.

Very glad you're OK. Good to see the Cat gave its best to protect you. She paid you back for all the TLC you lavished on her. Any injuries? What's the story? I'm used to people pulling out in front of me on my motorcycle but how do you not see a car with DRLs? Was the other driver drinking? Was he driving with a cellphone to his ear? Damned shame. That was one good looking Catera.

Well i put a lot of time into her. The only things i did to her that i really regretted was the mesh in the lower air dam. I like lights no matter who calls it a ricer because. Got a quote from the insurance guy, he wants to give me 4500 for it. So i'll make up a list of the parts i had into it, but i know i won't get any money for my time. I was going about 50 when he must not have seen me and pulled out right about 5 feet from me. T-boned him and then both our backs swung around and hit. She sure took care of me. I think i was right in the blind spot on the pillar in his truck. He should have looked right-left-right!!!!! He should have seen me. Other than a killing ache in my neck, back, and shoulder I'm pretty good, but heart-broken. I have an '89 scorpio merkur, if any of you know what it is, i'll be driving untill i get another. it was my first car, soon be dropping a 5.0 out of a fox body into it for my first major car project, practice for my cat ls6.

oh, and i'm driving my dad's '01 sport until i get my own. lol. and we're storing my brother's '97 cat while he's at college cuz he just bought a z4, looser. he could have gotten another cadillac. lol

I most certainly do remember the Scorpio, though I did prefer the XR4Ti. Wanted to buy one when they were new but with 2 toddlers it wasn't big enough to haul all the kid stuff. Looks like you are partial to German captive imports. German Fords and Opels. A friend of mine had a Mercury Capri that was a lot of fun. That was a German Ford too. German cars have always been a part of my life, either personally or through friends. I've had several VWs, an uncle had an Opel Manta, a cousin had a BMW 2002, and others. For those who don't know what we're talking about:
