Bose for free

I removed the bose system from the catera. I'm giving it away to whoever is interested...the only catch is you have to pay the shipping. I have the head unit and the two amps that came out of the trunk. sorry, no wires though.
!st one to agree to the shipping will get it. The rate for shipping is determined by how you want it shipped...plus 4 buck for a gallon of gas to take the stereo to be shipped. I live in Rochester, NY. You can calculate your costs from here to where ever you are.

I CatMV6 doesn't want it I can drive over and get it. I'm in Buffalo. My question to the Hive is do we need special codes or a password to make it work?

To CateraMV6...You are first, so you have to figure out your shipping cost. I'll allow you 2 days to figure it out and get back to me if you are still interested.

To Elvin...If CateraMV6 doesn't want to pay the shipping, then it's yours. I think this is fair. CateraMV6 has two days to decide.

I saw this last night when he first posted it....I was so tempted to just paypal him the money plus extra for shipping, packaging, etc. I never did becuase I thought it was a scam! (he only has 10 posts) Let everyone know if this is real; let us know when you get the Bose stuff.

Scam? I don't know why you'd think that because of his post count. Most of them were regarding replacing his Bose system. I think offering it for free when he could sell it is very generous. The only things he would get out of the deal if he were a cheat are shipping costs and a gallon of gas. He wouldn't even get that from me unless he siphoned it from my tank.

To srinne...No it is not a scam. I won't get rich off shipping costs. I already have a job. I think that is enough to pay my living expenses. I only have 10 posts because I don't like to say much. I don't know how to do pics so you'll just have to show some faith!

Elvin its yours if you want it... I am really not in need of it mine works fine but if you want it you can have it... I was possibly going to get it for a friend who wants to upgrade his system to BOSE>.. so ... unless u tell me what the shipping will be then...

Wow. I almost didn't open this thinking you were each exchanging shipping info. My CD player has been spitting out the CDs for some reason. Most of the time they play fine but once in a while they won't stay inside. I didn't want to go with a new head unit. To me they all seem a little too gaudy with chrome and neon lights. Totally out of place in my Catera. Plus I like the sound when it's working right. Now that I have to pull it out I might add an adapter for my XM Radio and iPod instead of using the cassette and clear some of the wiring clutter.

PJust let me know when it's convenient for me to stop over. I'll need your address for my GPS so drop me a PM.

Good luck with the install... and let us know how it all goes...
I have the USA SPEC PA11 GM45 in my trunk with a Ipod Mini in there and it works like a charm...
I wouldn't trade it for the world...
Also I ran a plug to my Driver seat so I can plug a second IPOD in there and control it from the Ipod... just got to switch to CD6...

Hey guys,

I am new to the group and will have more questions I am sure...I am already learning a lot here!

...but for now, can you tell me if I can easily upgrade a 1996 Sedan Deville stock system to a Bose system? I have a '96 Deville that I am selling to my brother in law...I just bought another 96 Deville for a good deal. The "new" car is in better mechanical shape. The only problem is the one I'm selling has the better trim (soft-top, heated seats, and the BOSE system with12 disc changer)...I have a new after-market head unit with DVD and only want to swap the Bose amps and speakers if I can...if not I will have to shell out $$$ for a new system. Are all of the 96 Devilles prewired for the premium sound? Can I easily just remove and install the Bose speakers and the amp in my "new" Deville? Please let know....Again Thank you in advance!!!
