theres a certain point where you just have to call it quits and cut your losses.
the cat has cost me more money in repairs than i actually paid for the car.
and considering the fact that i do all the repairs myself so the only cost is the parts...thats alot.
after winter, everything will be fixed one last time, itll be sold and ill buy something else.
while i do love the car so much, its just to un-reliable for my needs, i work full time and go to school full time so when it does break down im screwed and i barely even have the time to fix it. |

I prefer, and am working on obtaining, a set of your rear tail lights.
This is all Steinmetz kit. The wheels are 19" Snowflakes from a GM car known over here as the Vectra-C.
The color is "Petrol Blue" which I have yet to see on an American Catera, but I'd love to see one if anyone has a picture. (especially of the rear facelift tail lights on that color)
It is a 3.2 liter "Elite" which means it has all the toys you can get, but in addition has the MV6 (lowered Police spec.) suspension, a limited slip differential, rare charcoal gray leather sports seats, a stainless exhaust system, remapped chip (245bhp) and carbon effect inlays in the door cards and central console. | Hey how fast is that thing?
This fast? |

below is my 98 catera i just picked up from sgi salvage for 1400.00 with very minor front end damage. this one has 200 kms on it, runs perfect, everything works properly, and it seems it was taken very good care of. it has black leather, factory bose still in it (sounds AMAZING), sunroof, chrome, and a lot of wood grain inside. these are the salvage pics, i will replace them with my own once its fixed. |

This was my 3rd autoX event- first one with new brakes and suspension. What better wway to test it ?! Tires are becoming the weakest link, but another set of stock wheels is awaiting traction worthy tires. Taking a fast turn on the street, the weight of the car does not overwhelm the rear end and one tire. I can break those tires lose like you wouldn't believe it. I can do a slide on all 4 wheels, not just the back end spinning out.It has become (or I have made it, shall I say) an absolute blast to drive on the streets, it is much street-friendlier. Low-end torque is better, passing at city limits takes place in overdrive and rarely in 4th gear, as opposed to downshifting to 3rd or 2nd. I have better brakes, more responsive suspension and I think the car looks pretty good. I am not done with it yet.
