2000 catera turning signal problems....

ok, well i bought this 2000 catera yesterday, overall a nice car but there is one issue i have, the left side turn signal light is ALWAYS on not blinking when i ahve my lights on, i dont know what this could be, and when the ligths are on, the actual turn signal blinks very dim and fast if anyone could give me any suggestions please do because it is a legal issue in my state not using blinkers

if you can see the light blinking fast, then my first thought is you have a bulb out. check all the bulbs,
of they're all ok, then replace the signal relay module.

What was the fix? Nice to know in case it happens to my car.

PS: I used to work in Syracuse, and live in Liverpool off Taft Rd, in the early 80's.
