Re: WTB: In-trunk CD changer

I burn CDs that were downloaded as MP3 format with no trouble. The changer you found appears to have the correct plug in but the Catera was designed for a 12 disc ( 1997 model ) so you may have to fab a mounting bracket. If it would help, I can remove mine for photo so you can get an idea how it mounts.

thats different than an mp3 cd. mp3 cds dont convert the songs to wave before its burnt to the cd. it leaves them compressed and the cd player will decompress and play them.

i dont think you'll find a cd changer that will play mp3 cds for the catera. im pretty sure the head unit does the decompressing and the cateras head unit does not support mp3 cds as far as i know.

Re: WTB: In-trunk CD changer

Here comes the great debate... again. I highly doubt that sccatera97 would have any reason to lie to us. If he says his plays them then I believe him.
